My husband and I have come here for years and we were nervous to come this year bc of the recent reviews. But I have to say, it was just as great as it's been every year. We reserved an electric campsite for Friday and Saturday night, months ago. We arrived Friday at noon and the check was very easy. They had my reservation ready. They did mention the bus doesn't pickup at the sites like previous years which is a bummer but they told us to arrive at the office early, they open at 8am. We arrived to the site and immediately noticed they have been working on the sites (late night sites) and they now have water!! Huge plus!!! The bathrooms were clean. Yes there were bugs in the showers but its not bad, considering we are camping outdoors! We packed up the car on Saturday morning, checked in at 8:49am and they had us on a bus and on the river by 9:30am!!! Seriously the best experience!! They get extremely busy on the weekends and the groups can be huge, be patient and have your groups organized. It will help them and you!! Keep up the good work, Eagle Bluff. We will return.

This year the resort bragged about being under new management, but my group was not impressed. The resort doesn't pick-up people from their campsites anymore (or at least they didn't that day) which forced all the people to checkin to start their float trip during the same time frame on Saturday morning. After waiting 2+ hours for a bus at the resort, we finally got a bus to shuttle us to the river to get our raft, only there were no rafts. We waited another 1.5+ hours in the sun by a random river bank to finally get a raft. My group is awesome, we made the best of our trip. However, due to the delays of the resort, my group wasn't able to enjoy the river float like previous years. We couldn't prolong our swimming moments or picnic on the side of the river whenever we wanted. Since we began so late, there was an underlying worry of not making it back to the resort by nightfall or 7 PM - which the resort reminded us we had to be back at the time or we get charged a fee. Campsites didn't have portable restrooms like last year. The only available restroom was by the resort, a small walk from the sites. However, the toilets often didn't flush and had no tissue. The last day, they were completely overflowing. Not sure I'll be back.

This place is the worst resort we have ever been to. We camped here and floated to. For the entire trip the bathrooms overflowed and had raw sewage on the floors. There was no hot water ever. We asked the front desk gals multiple times for toilet paper & paper towels— no answer— and if there would be hot water in the bathrooms —no answer—&or if the bathrooms would even be cleaned—no answer—……. Saturday the day of our float, was miserable—we waited for 4 hours after check in the sun to get on a raft with four children, then it was time to begin our float after all that….. very unorganized and understaffed. The only man who was helpful to us “Eric” this man needs a raise—he’s a gracious man and helped our family out With our coolers even!! If not for him; we would have never made it. If you want a good place to go with your family and children, I would suggest just down the road is arrowhead, go there. So much better. This place has no idea how to run a campground or float. And forget asking for a refund, it won’t happen either!! It’s a JOKE!!! DON’T come here or spend time talking about it, just move along. You’ve been warned.

The new management has a lot to learn. This past weekend was my 3rd year camping and floating with them and it was a stressful experience. The whole floating process was a mess. Instead of them having set times the bus would pick you up from your campsite like previous years they had everyone go check in at the main office. The person at the register would write on a slip of paper your name, group size and what float trip your on then hand the paper to another person to give to a bus driver. It was very disorganized. I waited in line around 40 minutes because there were people that hadn’t paid or signed their waivers. Once I got checked in my group waited over 2 hours to get on a bus. I finally had to say something to the person responsible for handing out the slips of paper to the bus drivers. I felt we would have waited longer if I hadn’t have said something. I’m giving 2 stars because my campsite was in a nice shaded area close to the bathrooms.

So I thought the new ownership was going to make this place better. Went here this weekend and they now have a cooler size limit. My cooler is average size and actually floats better than their rafts. They made us empty our stuff into trash bags because they wouldn’t let us on the bus with the cooler. We’ve been going multiple times this summer with this cooler but now it’s a problem. I guess they expect you to bring just a lunch pale. Done going here to float. You all don’t even sell coolers in your shop. So stupid. Going somewhere else next time.

As I write this review we and my large group have been sitting in the parking lot for 2 hrs waiting for the staff to put us on a bus for our float. We are signed up for the all day trip and it's 1045 am. I'm not sure we'll get back by dark! After complaining twice it looks like they LOST our name in the list. They have several busses. This isn't a hard process. We are renting the largest and most expensive group cabin too. The new management has really screwed up a great company. Update: it 3.5 hrs and repeated query's to finally get on a bus. It was so late and we were already so tired from waiting outside in the heat, we had to switch to the shorter 6 hr trip so we could get back by dark! Run, don't walk....away!

THIS IS NOT A REVIEW OF THE STAFF, the staff were nothing short of fantastic. That being said, there was only so much they could do to curb the utter chaos the trip was. The “new management” owes the few people who showed up to work yesterday a BIG raise. Overbooked, under staffed, we got there at 9:30am, didn’t get picked up until 12:30 to head to the river, and weren’t floating until 2:30. So basically left on the beach of the river for 2 hours waiting for a raft. Mind you, we were on the 12 mile float! Cut out a huge portion of our day. And where was the manager while his staff was desperately trying to take care of the issues? Nowhere to be found. This resort needs a NEW new management or it’s going to go under in a bad way. We won’t be back.

It was extremely busy, and I feel like they overbooked themselves. We got to the place at 8 and didn't get on a bus till 12:30. When I asked a staff member why it was taking so long, she replied by saying I dnt know. I just work here. They are extremely unorganized they kept putting new clip boards on old ones so people that were first kept getting pushed to the bottom, and people who just showed up were getting to go first. My husband talked to one of the bus drivers since the staff in side were no help. The bus drivers were the only ones willing to help my group of 9. The bathrooms are big but were not well kept, broken toilet seats, and not flushing and some overflowing. You could smell them outside while waiting, and it was not a pleasant smell. Spent more time waiting to get on the bus then on river. The bus drivers were the only good part about this place.
